It should be noted, this list is separate from our overall favorite figures of 2018. Please look forward to that one as well. Without further delay, let’s begin and with bunny girls no-less!

Saber – TYPE-MOON Racing ver. by STRONGER
Who knew Saber had such a lovely smile? Only those who bought her the first time~
Just one look at STRONGER’s TYPE-MOON Racing Saber and you’ll immediately know why she’s coveted by so many collectors (and garners an eye-watering price tag too). The paintwork on her outfit coveys the light-reflecting PVC nature of the material. Lastly, what seals the deal for us is her smile, which is sweet enough to cause tooth-decay. They’re STRONGER for a reason.

Nanami Aoi by Rocket Boy
Here we have our number one swimsuit figure of 2018-2019, Nanami Aoi by Rocket Boy! The reason why we like her so goes above and beyond her obvious R18 appearance. Leaving us in awe, it’s the prowess Rocket Boy showed in painting the water glistening on her twisted back while maintaining her skin’s natural shine elsewhere. There’s also some embarrassment as well as what appears to be slight annoyance on her face.
In addition to the highlighted points, how her defined calves react to the high-heeled shoes further our generally high opinion of her. It is for that reason why she’s our number one swimsuit figure of 2018.

Non-scale Figures
Regardless of whether their arms and legs bend or you have to put them together and paint them first. The ubiquitous presence of those sometimes cute and sometimes serious non-scale figures are well-deserved.
Eligibility: figma, Nendoroid, Plastic model
Another Chance
While some are happy by the decision to re-release, others (e.g. sellers who capitalize on a figure’s popularity) loath it with every fiber of their being. Join us as we gleefully count down our favorite re-releasing figures!
Eligibility: Figure must have previously been released
Swimsuits
Even if you’re in the middle of winter while being relentlessly beaten with snow, rain, and hail. However, swimsuit figures have the power of changing the seasons! Their power of the mind’s season is exercised extremely well and with them near, everyday is a sunny one~
Eligibility: Figure must be wearing a swimsuit

Hresvelgr Bikini Armor Ver by Kotobukiya
Our #1 non-scale figure is Frame Arms Girl’s Hresvelgr in bikini armor! Since the moment we saw her, she had the expression that she’d happily cut you to pieces. If you’ve seen Frame Arms Girl, you’ll know that her expression is 100% true to her character!
While Hresvelgr may be a little off-kilter and wearing light ‘armor’. It’s her design, color scheme, and personality which stands above the rest.
There you have it, MyGrailWatch’s favorite sub-category figures of 2018-2019! What do you think of our choices? We’d love to hear what you have to say in the comments.
Thank you very much for reading and joining us in our first year. While it is a year away, we hope you join us for our favorite sub-category figures of 2019-2020!
