I complained about the bunnies this year. They all seemed lacking. Looking back at the bunny girls announced this year, they really were lacking. However, the middle months and those a little toward the end of the year, were the shining months for bunny girls. We saw creativity with the outfits and how their colors complemented the girls. The poses are also some of the best we’ve seen.
Before we begin, let’s be clear which figures are eligible for inclusion.
Eligibility
- 1. The figure must be wearing a bunny outfit
- 2. In lieu of a bunny outfit, bunny ears and/or a bunny tail (real or fake) is OK
Honorable Mentions
We have three honorable mentions for this list. And just as with the girls on the list, these ones saved us from what seemed to be unending monotony. Alas, there is not enough space for as many bunny girls as we feel like adding. So being an honorable mention will have to suffice for our gratitude.
Hisako caught our eye the moment they announced her. The irritated but still embarrassed look on her face and shy pose made her one of our immediate favorites. Her glossy navy bunny outfit and fuchsia hair play well together. The gold armbands are lovely accent as well. Saitom’s Nonoka has one of the most creative poses when it comes to interacting with her bunny outfit. Being a mature figure, she’s able to push the seductive aspect a bit farther than saitom’s own Kelly. The detail contained in her outfit isn’t anything short of amazing either. Infinite Stratos hasn’t seen many figures in the last few years. FREEing has delivered a beautiful bare-legged Houki, who’ll lead its resurgence. Her glossy high-cut bunny suit looks wonderful on her standing frame. Her long legs as well as her open mouth, that has a bit of in it, lends itself to this variant.

B-style Shirley Fenette Bunny Ver.
After C.C., Shirley Fenette is FREEing’s second bunny in their exclusive Code Geass trio. Only a select few are able to pull off a white bunny outfit. Shirley is one of them. The white creates a contrasting harmony with her orange hair, and her innocent pose and wide olive eyes assisting it. On the design front, her bunny outfit’s frilly edges, black side-ties, and black necktie accentuate various aspects of her slender body, such as her bust and hips.

Date A Live Light Novel Kurumi Tokisaki Bunny Ver.
Based on a tapestry illustration by Tsunako, we have Tokisaki Kurumi in a metallic bunny outfit. Not only is the burnt orange lovely, but also the color of her creamy skin and swaying brown hair. Kurumi has a rarely-seen happy expression on her face too. Along with her bar stool, the checkered floor base and casino chips scattered, does a great job in setting up the atmosphere.
I wouldn’t mind a glass of carrot wine. How about you?

Selvaria Bles Bunny Ver.
A bunny version of the misunderstood main antagonist from Valkyria Chronicles is next on our list. Her design marries RAITA’s stylized proportions with the washed out watercoloring effect seen in the game. I like her expression, it isn’t shy nor is it pissed off, however, it’s composed and fitting for her character. Selvaria’s black bunny outfit features red and gold decorations to give you an Imperial vibe. That said, none of her decorations do so more than her red velvet bunny ears.

Momo Belia Deviluke Bare Leg Bunny Ver.
What a peach. From behind, a peach is the only thing that comes to mind!
The bare-legged Momo Belia Deviluke is spectacular from the front as she is from behind. Her pink bunny outfit plays well with her pink hair and pink-tinged skin. She has a teasing look about her as she places her finger to her wry smile. If she and her pose weren’t already the best in FREEing’s To LOVE-Ru Darkness bunny series, this bare-legged variant seals it.

B-style Kouzuki Kallen Bunny Ver.
Sporting a bashful expression with upturned eyebrows, Kallen has a cute bunny-like mouth. Her eyes look shy and almost frightened, still, there’s a slight hint of seduction in them.
For her outfit, Kallen’s familiar pink bunny suit supports her breasts and results in a lovely sloping view from the side. The way she rests her hand and long fingers on her posterior is a beautiful sight on its own. Admittedly, her pigeon-toed pose leaves a bit to be desired. However, the way she wears her bunny outfit, and the way it accentuates her body is second-to-none. For that, Kallen’s our #1!
Closing words
There we have it. A FREEing bunny would have occupied every position had it not been for KADOKAWA’s Kurumi. Speaking of Kurumi, I would personally like to see the remaining characters in the artwork also be companion figures. Just as Momo’s, Houki’s long crossed legs and pose was made for a bare-legged variant. Her mouth could have been improved from her base version. Had it been the case, deciding the positions would been more difficult.
Deciding who was at the top was difficult. For a time, could have gone either way between Kallen and Momo. A certain chairman once said, “There’s no such thing as a bad ass-man.” I posit, in the face of either the bare-legged Momo or statuesque Kallen, there’s no such thing as a disappointed ass-man either.
