The variant of our third favorite figure of 2018, saitom's "Usada Yuu Pink ver." like the original, straddles two categories being bunny and swimsuit. Although her original coloring suits her better, her strawberry blonde hair suits her face and expression well. Her body and pose remains the same and for that, merits her an honorable mention. Fate/Grand Order's Rider/Altria Pendragon [Alter] by ALTER is also deserving of an honorable mention for her cold backward glancing gaze as she leans forward with the broom between her legs and gun swung to her side. Her jacket is removable to not only show off slender body, but also that she has no conspicuous arm bands hiding her seams.

ALL-ROUNDER FROGLADY-AEGIR from AFTER-SCHOOL ARENA THIRD SHOT
Diving into our list of favorite swimsuit figures of 2019, we begin with Frog-Lady Aegir from the Hong Kong based DAMTOYS' "After School Arena" series. The third in their series, her design moves away from their original design towards a more anime-styled approach but still retaining some of their original sensibilities, resulting in a beautiful face filled with nymphal features.
The touches of fan-service of the series is there as well with her high-cut wetsuit and plunging bust. The greenish blue of her wetsuit goes well against her unblemished skin with her deep green eyes and light pink hair enhancing the effect. Her accessories feature a high level of detail and convey a different atmosphere depending on whether they're removed or not. Another thing worth mentioning is how her flipper conforms to the cut-off ship part and the alluring position of her legs.

DreamTech Prinz Eugen Iroasenai Egao
Next we have WAVE's pretty Prinz Eugen from Azur Lane with an unfading smile or is it a teasing grin? Summarizing points from our over six hundred word written impression is that she's good! No seriously, her mischievous expression and flowing hair plays into her revealing swimsuit and showcases not only her breasts, but also the realistic curvature of her feet and back. Her translucent inner tube and shark inspired turrets deserve a mention with their detail. WAVE did a good job with their Prinz Eugen that's charming from any angle.

Akagi Rakuen no Higanbana
Also from Azur Lane is Akagi by WAVE. Azur Lane certainly seems rife with well-endowed girls with sadistic gazes. She has a pretty face and her long neck with tilted head and borne fangs gives the impression that she's licking her fingers while in deep thought. But is anything good going to come of it?
What's really nice is that due to her pose and slightly adjustable head, her hair style looks different depending from which angle you're viewing her. Another highlight is that you may also remove her thin, burnt orange side-tied pareo to display more of her body and thus become that much more entranced by her hips and thighs.

Atago Manatsu no Koushinkyoku Ver.
Still with Azur Lane is Atago and our second overall favorite swimsuit figure. She doesn't look to be a figure that's set out do a lot or be in deep thought, but what ALTER's Atago does, she does insanely well. Ever so gently, she tugs on her swimsuit top, clearly drawing attention to her well developed body and for a number of reasons doesn't lack in feminine charm.
Besides capturing her proportions and overall pose like a wild Pokémon, ALTER looks to have done a near 1:1 replica of Atago in figure form. They balanced her appearance in the original illustration while increasing the realism. Pink lightly dyes her extremities and hint at the softness of her buttery smooth skin which, due to their paint technique, probably feels that way too.

Sonia Summer Princess
Winning the fierce battle at the beach is "Sonia Summer Princess" based on an illustration by Tony! She's wearing a gold swimsuit that's fitting of royalty. VERTEX has a lot of experience with detailed female bodies and what a royal body she has! Looking at her silhouette and tracing from her shoulder down her modest bosom to her protruding rib cage and toned abdomen, Sonia is no exception. As with the previously listed Akagi, you may remove Sonia's lace pareo for better exposure of her legs and a clearer overall design.
While they don't have Alphamax nor Kotobukiya's experience with Tony's artwork, the appreciation and skill is there. Also from the side, her shapely jaw and rounded chin with the matte sheen of her dark brown hair, enhance the representation of her eyes and faint smile. All of these things make her worthy of being a Tony figure and our pick for the best swimsuit figure of 2019!
