Some of our favorite figures are swimsuit ones. We, and likely you too, can’t get enough of them. Unfortunately they were sporadic this year. Despite the thin number though, there have been more than enough figures of girls on the beach and in swimsuits to chase winter away, or depending on where you reside, prolong summer.
Before we begin, let’s be clear which figures are eligible for inclusion.

- 2. A beach and/or tropical theme is OK

Kiana Kaslana Herrscher of the Void Parasol Kaiserin Ver. by miHoYo from Houkai 3rd
The Herrscher of the beach kicks off our list. She’s less of a swimsuit figure but more a scenic one that tells a story. Under an umbrella, Kiana nonchalantly sips champagne on the sandy beach beach front. She has style for as long as wants to grace us with her presence. Kiana’s also a good fit for this list with her airy light blue and white outfit. But more importantly for the way she encompasses the beach atmosphere.

Next we have an idol! Meguru’s athletic body is enough to catch anyone’s attention. But her playful pose with outstretched arms makes you want to fall into them. Splashing around, the position of her hands and her fingers pink-tinge are her truly eye-catching features.

Albedo Swimsuit Ver. by SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE FIGURE
SSFigure announced their debut Rem and Emilia early in 2020. So from the beginning, they’ve gone for eye-catching centerpiece figures. Measuring over 300mm in height, their swimsuit Albedo continues this trend. Her white swimsuit has style by being more than a simple bikini. Still, it shows off her fabulously toned body. The detail, however, in her black wings and rich Titian hair threaten to take you attention away from her swimsuit (and body)!

Himeragi Yukina Everlasting Summer Wedding Ver.
Depending on where you’ve been, you may have seen Yukina on another of this year’s lists. She’s on multiple lists for good reason. Yukina’s fused wedding-swimsuit-lingerie encompasses playfulness in both design and execution. She wears her outfit well too. One of the things taken for granted with swimsuit figures are smiles. It’s a given that she’d smile (maybe not all do), but Yukina looks genuinely happy.

Archer/Jeanne d'Arc by Good Smile Company
More is more. While Jeanne comes with less things than Kiana, she’s able to convey the beach as well as her contemporaries on the list without detracting from her. The quality of her accessories such as her jacket, beach bag, even her inner tube, elevate her. It wouldn’t be right to attribute all of her nice design choices to her accessories. Her color scheme is pleasing and so is the patterned design of her mostly hidden bikini. Mid-strut, Jeanne’s pose is fairly dynamic too. She maintains eye-contact with her bright blue eyes and a light smile. Her long ponytail, meanwhile bobs as she walks.

Closing words
Yukina was a strong contender for the top spot and may have won. In the end, it was Jeanne’s polish that pushed her over the top. Speaking of polish, it’s a shame that Kiana couldn’t be higher on the list. A general lack of polish really brought her down. Had this been different, she may have been the true Herrscher (ruler) of the beach. Albedo’s come hither face and body is undeniable. She’s expensive too. But worth it, she is. Though, I wouldn’t mind her without the nail polish. Thanks for reading!
