Impressions

As expected of colorist Hoshina Eimi, Meguru's paintwork is superb. Since she shows a lot of skin, it's where she'll attract the most attention and her fair and even skin tone doesn't disappoint in the least. The hints of pink on her knees and in her extremities is the highlight of her paintwork as it increases the realism.

Meguru's face and expression cleanly matches the CG and should be satisfactory to her fans. The flow and detail of her hair is good with the right amount of detail to match the source. Another nice touch is the translucency in the tips of her hair.

We spoke about her tremendous coloring. But as you can see, Meguru's body is also beautifully sculpted—her long fingers, palms, and legs being the obvious highlights. The light definition of her diaphragm and pelvis are other high points. So is the surprising amount of detail in her bangles and bracelets; the mid-air separation from her wrists really conveys the sense of motion.

Her base's realistic rippling and splashing of the water also deserves a mention. As with other good bases, it really brings everything together and enhances the atmosphere, making you feel like you're there with her.

If there are any points of criticism, it's her mouth, the inside of her mouth and tongue could benefit from more detail. A minor issue is the almost uncomfortable-looking position of her head and neck. The issue could be due to Meguru looking downward in the illustration but maintaining eye-contact here.

Despite the nitpicking, Meguru is cute with an slim and athletic body, all for a nice price. So, will Meguru be doing an endless photoshoot in your collection or will you be content with looking at her in magazines!? Tell us in the comments.
