Shion Okigae Mode came out of nowhere, at least relatively out of nowhere. Her initial announcement was when they showed her already painted in their Feb Web WonFes presentation. She was a stand-out among the figures shown at the event.
The illustration sees her having an unexpected visitor while getting dressed. She’s making an “Ah.” type of face. You see a mature lady making a cute face. It’s a bit different here, she was caught getting dressed. In turn, she caught a fright. Shion’s making a gasping “Ah!” face with reddened cheeks and everything. The subtle changes, like her mouth being more pointy at the top, her eyebrows being more visible under her fringe, and her cheek blush being more intense, have her convey more personality.
Whether you like her open shirt or not, Shion offers a superb view from the front. At least, she would, if she hadn’t turned her head completely the other way. And If you could adjust her head, the visible seam wouldn’t be so bad.
Her soft pastel coloring was ironically another reason why she stood out. The mixture of lilac, bluish-purple, and deep purple is really good. Shion’s soft-looking skin and another of its positive areas. Which is, of course, that her breasts look amazing. The shading between is, dare I say, nigh-perfect. The contrasting lighter coloring for her breasts and torso also does a very good job in promoting the voluminous appearance of her bust.
