With her strawberry theme and spiraling twintails, Hatsune Miku’s 15th anniversary design by Morikura En is elaborate and whimsical in a good way. Her coloring is of course impeccable to the smallest of details. The sheen of her ribbons are distinct from the red in her outfit and they actually resemble satin with their sheen. Miku’s also filled with so many little touches, like the musical notes at the base of her dress.

Figures with bendy arms and legs are next up on our list of 2021’s best figures. Spoiler, every entry on the list uses the other meaning of the word “action” in “action figure.” But toys they are not.
Introducing Good Smile Comapany’s cute Nendoroid Doll Shinomiya Kaguya from the manga and anime series Kaguya-sama Love is War. She’s a bit taller than her Nendoroid counterpart and her limbs are a bit longer for better mobility too. As with her figma counterpart, her uniform is made with real fabric. Seemingly, a pair of cat ears for Kaguya-sama is a prerequisite, a prerequisite which has been fulfilled.
