MGW Favorites Selection – Bunny Girls – 2019

Pointy ears and bushy tails, we wouldn’t be able to survive long without these lovely bunny girls. Let’s go through our list of favorite bunny girl figures of the year!

Eligibility: Figure must be wearing a bunny outfit or have bunny ears and/or a bunny tail (real or fake)

Honorable Mentions

Honorable mentions go to FREEing's Chisaki Miyazaki Bunny Ver. and Kyoko Kirigiri Bunny Ver. from "Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs" and "DanganRonpa" respectively. Chisaki's surprised but still reserved expression with her half unzipped bunny suit that's both uncommon and a novel idea. Kirigiri became one of our instant favorites for her pose and stylized outfit that exhibits creativity in staying true to her character. And another special mention goes to Erika Kuramoto Bunny Ver. from RAITA's "Mahou Shoujo". BINDing captures RAITA's sensibilities with Erika who's wearing a more traditional bunny outfit but with a modified bunny tail as a nod to her magical girl wings.

  1. 5th

    Jibril Bunny Ver.

With her finger pointed on her chin, FREEing's exclusive Jibril from "No Game No Life" enters our list in a soft pink bunny suit. She kneels in a daring pose with her legs spread and raised posterior. Unlike FREEing's Yuigahama who's in a similar pose, Jibril's not quite tempting expression pulls off the pose and she's certainly not shy either.

Her bunny outfit is simultaneously barely able to contain her breasts. Still, she has a cool expression on her face with maybe asking the question, "Where are you looking", knowing full well. Her hair of course! The deep shade of pink in the upper region of her hair matches the soft pink of her bunny outfit without being too similar and results in a pleasant color combination.

  2. 4th

    Belldandy Bunny Ver.

Set to be released in a series with her two sisters, Skuld and Urd from "Ah! My Goddess", Belldandy is the highlight of the trio. Her standing pose with outstretched hand is relatively simple, but it's clear that Belldandy is a labor of love by FREEing.

She has honey blonde hair that is detailed in each of the numerous directions which it's layered. Her round face serves as the background for her large round eyes and joyful smile that hints at her maturity.

From the side, her defined shoulder blades and arched back with creased bunny outfit are a delight as is the high-rise bunny outfit that suits her body and draws attention to her long legs.

  3. 3rd

    Erina Nakiri Bunny Ver.

She's a long anticipated bunny with only a teased silhouette of her pose for the longest time. Her outfit is a simple glossy black design with gold arm bands, resulting in an elegant and luxurious feel. As you can see, Erina's body isn't in the least lacking and looks to be made for a bunny outfit. Her crossed arms and the effect it has on her body is clearly a highlight, but her entire pose could be considered a highlight with her raised leg in almost a fidgety fashion. But you can tell by her expression that she really doesn't want to be in a bunny outfit or at least be seen in one. I almost feel sorry for her. Almost, that is!

Overall, FREEing didn't disappoint with her and the wait for her unveiling was well worth it.

  4. 2nd

    Tsukasa Nishino Bunny Ver.

Speaking of elegant, next we have a girl I never thought I'd see again. From Ichigo 100% or Strawberry 100%, Tsukasa's return is as remarkable as she is and a worthy tribute to her character. She wears a matte white bunny outfit with gold arm bands. The choice of using a white bunny outfit is a good one as it matches her light blonde hair. Furthermore, the matte sheen reduces emphasis on the outfit while increasing emphasis on her glossy red bow tie which in turn breaks the similarity of the light colors used for her hair and outfit.

Although her hair doesn't have a terrible amount of detail in the front, the titled position shows off the motion of her trimmed hair versus having it remain static. Having her hold a strawberry and look to nearly take a bite out of it is something her fans as well as fans of the series are sure to appreciate. Tsukasa is lovely and doesn't stumble on her return, earning her a place on our list.

  5. 1st

Scáthach Bunny that Pierces with Death Ver.

Here we have our favorite bunny girl of 2019 and she pierces with death! While two figures based on the same illustration is not unheard of, two separate companies making the same character in the same pose with just in a different scale has to be unique to Fate/Grand Order's Scáthach, right?

ALTER opts for the smaller of the two Scáthach figures in genre that FREEing has the most experience. They deliver with a superb body and hip-emphasizing high-rise bunny outfit that looks as soft to the touch as her skin does. There's a melodious use of textures from her glossy outfit to her creamy peach skin and her matte hair.

She really does look soft, not only the texture of her skin, but also her facial features such as her chin and nose. Her hair's matte shading de-emphasizes a lot of the detail like the individual strands to move attention towards her face which now has a smile! Supporting her softness, her eyes aren't an intense red and are more of a burnt orange but remains filled with adult charm. The thoughtfulness placed into her sculpt is worthy of an essay and for that reason, Scáthach Bunny ver. that Pierces with Death is our top bunny of the year.
